Analyst & Content Strategist
At Masawa, Niels is Analyst & Content Strategist. He works together with Gabija in conceiving and shaping Masawa’s visual identity and communication endeavors. Niels is determined to realize his vision of changing the way we think about, approach, and experience mental wellness, and impelled by the purpose of making a significant, positive change in our collective mental well-being.
Graduated with distinction in International Entrepreneurship from the Karel de Grote University of Applied Sciences, Antwerp, Niels gained both extensive theoretical and practical experience during his international internships in Cape Town and Berlin. In Cape Town (SA), he was responsible for operations at Skeg Product Development. In Berlin, he worked as a Startup Ecosystem Analyst for Flanders Investment and Trade from the Belgian Embassy in Berlin. He laid the foundations for an umbrella startup network connecting the major startup hubs in Flanders.
Driven by his passion for landscape photography, Niels backpacked to many countries with the mission to capture the world’s most beautiful scenery. He has won numerous international photography awards (MIFA, IPA, Monochrome Awards,…) as well as a 2-week sailing trip to Svalbard. After having founded Kollab, an apparel brand promoting art from an international community of visual artists, he continues to explore the intersection between business and art.
Niels’ mental happy place involves aloneness, hiking in the mountains or near the ocean, or a quiet place outside with close friends.
